So by reading this, it was probably legal in 2016 to use campaign funds for personal use.

I mean you [Hillary, say] want me, Andy Jackson, to contribute $500,000 to someone's [McCabe's wife's] campaign to get you [Hillary] off of a criminal charge. I better see about $50 M money in the bank - I am not sure that is enough in fact - because I know I need a good legal team on my side [what a $2M a year for a top firm?] to fend off the shit I know is coming my way and prepare a nice foreign escape - ok lets make that $100M.
The cost of this stuff adds up. Why would anyone pay that kind of money unless there is some pretty big money for some pretty nasty stuff coming down the road.
Really, if I am invested in, say domestic fracking, why would I care that much if Hillary went to jail. A $10K contribution - maybe.
So I hope a deep look is being made into the business dealings of the contributors on this deal as well. What was in it for them besides "the pleasure of contributing to the campaign of the best candidate for the position."
I hope the donors are given a serious looking over too. What was in it for them?
