It was a dark and dreary night. My husband took the boat out to count our guns. He was so rattled by the news he fired into the bottom of the boat which sank, with all our guns, to the unplumbed bottom of the lake. I would have shot him if I had not been recovering from that moose bite, and he had not sunk my gun along with all the rest, not to mention having to care for my poor moose bit sister.
