No, you misread the statute. It says:
§2384. Seditious conspiracy If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow
The PLACE is subject to the jurisdiction, not necessarily the people. Treason appears to be concerned with a foreign enemy, whereas sedition concerns those who are in the USA or other place that is subject to the USA jurisdiction.
So, what these people are apparently guilty of is Seditious Conspiracy, not Treason.
This one is for you:
“You did not read where this is a COUP DETAT which is a de facto act of war.”
“Overthrowing a duly elected President by entrapment or by any means is an act of war as the President is an office which constitutes the federal government executive branch.”
“Those bad actors swearing an OATH of allegiance who conspired to overthrow the government via a soft coup are guilty of BOTH Sedition and Treason.”
“Those who swore no such OATH but who are subject to the jurisdiction of the US only are guilty of Sedition.”
Also:
> “Treason appears to be concerned with a foreign enemy ...”
Not true, far from it. One of the original traitors was Benedict Arnold and there have been several since who were American citizens OWING ALLEGIANCE.
Also again, look at the statute on Treason that I posted a link to. Treason applies only to those OWING ALLEGIANCE. Foreign enemies owe no such allegiance.
You are welcome.
