Legally, you can get into hot water from that. Local farmers back home used to try to keep people “from the city” from buying acreages. A few rather expensive lawsuits later that stopped.

Unless it is a private sale, you have to be VERY careful

There is not Civil Rights protections for people from Blue States.

Thus, when a person from California offers to pay $50,000.00 in cash over the asking price of a house in Texas, the Texan homeowner can tell his to get lost and do so legally.
