Stories about the Obamas fighting and sleeping in different rooms imply that when the weren't fighting, they were sleeping in the same room.
There are plenty of bedrooms in the White House, so presidents and first ladies can sleep together or separately as they wish.
The Johnsons, Nixons, and Clintons probably did have separate rooms.
The Fords, Reagans and GW Bushes probably slept together.
