Humm. “If you catch me at the border, I have visas in my name.” from Paper Plane, MIA.
I Wonder. Any connection to Julian Assange and the key he published today?
Who is flying and where? Not to here, not tonight. Its 2 degrees outside.
I have to work tomorrow and can’t stay to play with this.
Did you ever hear of a bar code in 1981? So an obvious fake.
Nothing to do with immigration but just a memory of the old days of air travel. Circa 1969 flying from New Orleans to Monroe, Louisiana. Went to Delta Airlines and informed the agent I had a pistol in my luggage that I wanted to take to Monroe with me.
I had unloaded it prior to putting it in the bag, but I did have ammunition for it in the bag. The most polite check in agent asked to look at it and see that it was not loaded. It was then placed back in the bag and went with me to Monroe in the hold of the aircraft (DC-9 I am old also).
Oddly I could have carried onto the aircraft as there was no screening at the time. It would not have been legal so I did not.
Times have sadly changed for the worse. I hate the inconvenience of the TSA but realize their necessity but I have always suspected that one of their prime directives is you must be an ass to work for them. However, I have encountered a few TSA people that are most gracious.
Its all over now. CNN has the story.
Thanks for the info!

US citizens have an absolute right to cross the border back onto US territory at any time they desire. If something breaks, its border controls problem, not the citizens. Presentation of a valid passport should be enough. In fact, if a US citizen appears at a border without any documents at all, and makes a claim of US citizenship, they must be admitted (with a little patience as the officers make a reasonable effort to verify the claim, of course).
“and makes a claim of US citizenship, they must be admitted”
At the Nogales crossing it used to be the only thing they did: ask if you were a citizen.
You said yes as confidently and quickly as any citizen would and that was that. The guy said have a nice day.
They know who the aliens are. Comes out loud and clear.

Was used on products in 1974. The UPC scanner was made by NCR.

; )
Wow this is Heavy stuff Pray its happening
That site’s a total crock but I’ve got to admit it would be rich to see McCain carted off to Guantanamo on the basis of the McCarran Act, since that’s what made him a US citizen at birth in the first place.
The problem I (US citizen) ran into last summer was that the video system did not recognize me as the person in the picture. The passport picture was about 3 years old. After about 4-5 tries, the guy looked at the picture and at me and let me through.
