The moral is, don’t mess with a river rat (or dog) on his home terrain.

;-)

[I get it, really. Another good story by Matt and very well written!]

Dog Island needs to beware of Chihuahuas also. Tiny little critters of no consequence until suddenly there’s millions of them .

Their stealth infiltration ability is legend.

Because Lycophobia is already a word, and one of the points of this story is that Wolfophobia is a made up word, just like Islamophobia. And in both cases, the words were created by the perpetrators to deflect accurate criticism away from them.

And in general, from an internet writer’s POV, it’s great to create new unique words for a title. It makes search engines go straight to your story, and not 1,000 other preexisting references, as to Lycophobia in this case.

Also, the “voice” is sort of “blue-collar working dog.” In the entire piece, Spike uses a pretty simple vocabulary.

Now, I’m half Labrador Retriever, and I love to swim.

Best line ever.

I do think that more people need to see your books. The Enemies series...(is that what that is called?)...in particular.

Things went from roses to oh crap in seconds.

Not in some vague techdisaster. In like real world effects. Couple days. That’s all we have.

If I really believed what you wrote could come true...I’d have me half a dozen little stashes in out of the place spots.

It is reality though. It could happen.

So why wouldn’t I?

;)

All we can do is try to reach as many of the reachable as we can, while there is time for them to prepare.

Preps now can make huge outcome differences later.
