On some level Trump is keenly aware of all the nonsense, obstruction, delays, and attacks from MSM, dramacrats and others on a daily basis since since before he even took office. Even his “own” party has participated in putting the business of the people behind schedule.
The result? I seriously doubt he is concerned in the by sliding back the schedule for some perfunctory event like a state dinner. It may very well be that any rancor so created is further incentive to keep driving them more out of their miniscule minds than he already has.

Where is the scandal in saving the taxpayers money by not hosting these ridiculously expensive and self-indulgent extravaganzas, where 100s of deputy assistant ambassadors, literatti, and pseudo-celebrities are fed the kind of multi-course dinners that require multiple zip codes for all the forks and spoons lined up on either side of the plate?
Sounds like prudent fiscal management. Besides, all those deputy assistant ambassadors are needed in Foggy Bottom to sort paperclips and assist with the shredding of Hillary’s emails and Muslim-outreach files.
Trump should through a state dinner and only invite those than voted for his stance on Israel. I think there were something like 9 countries. That ought to set the behavior bar for the rest of the world.
