That’s great for South America and Germany and I wish them the best.
As long as they don’t build a passage through the Darien Gap.
And what’s wrong with building there? It’s a pain in the butt to get around when I drive to South America.
I remember as a lad in the ‘50s reading in the Weekly Reader about the Pan American highway that was being built that would enable one to drive from Canada all the way to the tip of South America. And today, you almost can, except for what looks like a very short distance in Panama. But I imagine (I haven’t been there) that on the ground, it looks like an impossible task. Costa Rica has a terrible time keeping its mountainous roads passible.
Good luck with getting across the Andes
Choo choo heads are on the prowl again
Stupid idea
Remote country. Rain forest. Giant mountains. Swamps
What could go wrong ?
Great for Caterpillar and the US. Cat built many of the great highways that changed economies and societies.
