No, it was Marlene DietrichI think Burt Lancaster steals the scenes in the movie. The problem with Otto Klemperer is that it is difficult to watch without thinking of him in Hogan's Heroes, though the movie was before the TV series.

That was Werner Klemperer. Otto Klemperer, Werner’s father, was an orchestra conductor. Victor Klemperer, the famous diarist of Nazi Germany, was Otto’s cousin.
