The jurors made a political statement. Absolutely disgusting!

My belief is that the Prosecution never wanted any type of conviction in the first place. Just ask yourself this question:

If the person that was accidentally Killed was a “Police Officer” would the prosecution been different? Now go ask ANY Prosecutor on the planet the same question.

The jury — and perhaps the judge and the prosecution — evidently chose to send the message that they hate President Trump and are willing to condone murder to prove it.

This was a blatant case of jury nullification. A man with multiple felony convictions, fires a gun that kills someone. That’s felony murder right there, irrespective of whether or not it was an “accident,” which I do not believe for a second.

Just looking at some of the excerpts of the prosecutor’s jury address they were not looking for first degree murder. That was an easy one. In fact it appears the prosecutor was leaning heavily on manslaughter. The conviction for the one gun charge was a given. It sounds like the jury accepted the notion he simply came upon the firearm, was playing around with it and it accidentally discharged killing the victim. Hard to escape involuntary manslaughter unless they also accepted the notion he thought it was a toy gun or that he had no reason to believe it was loaded.

When the verdict was given, defense attorney Francisco Ugarte said:

“From Day 1 this case was used as a means to foment hate, to foment division and to foment a program of mass deportation. It was used to catapult a presidency along that philosophy of hate of others.”

Just to be clear here: the jury is concluding that the prosecution failed to demonstrate that the illegal alien took the actions he’s accused of, right?

Sad to say that me and the First lady would never live in CA again.

We obviously have nothing in common with the prosecution, judge or jury.

This verdict is basically a middle finger from SF and california to US citizens and the federal government.

The feds REALLY need to crack down on sanctuary cities.

EVERY single government employee involved in this case, from the mayor, police chief, judge, prosecutor, sheriffs, and cops, all need to be arrested and charged with sedition.

How interesting, he was acquitted in every charge that could have conferred liability to the city of San Francisco for its declaration as a sanctuary City. Whole lot of politicking going on.

It doesn’t take the brains of a gnat Nat to see the city council of San Francisco is culpable in this crime.

What illegal criminals have long realized is that America is a place they can practice their chosen profession of crime and be protected from the consequences. This man literally got away with murder.

In a way this is good...

It will stoke a slow burning anger in the ranks, it will provide cover for Rinos...

and when the DACA legislation renewal comes in March there will be hell to pay.

And more than that, when Trump unveils his multi-Trillion dollar plans for infrastructure building, ANY
city, municipality, county or STATE that is a ‘sanctuary’ or acts as if it were will receive ZERO dollars.

Lets see them cry then.

They charged him with murder, when the charge should have been aggravated manslaughter. IIUC, the shot that killed Kate was a ricochet, not one aimed at her. The jury was not given the option to convict on another or lesser charge.

No, I’m not a lawyer, but I watch ‘em on TV!
