We are hearing arguments for and against the rollback of the Net Neutrality laws, but what is the reality. And more importantly, why are we ignoring the other 30 plus countries in the world that have already tried this?
As FCC chairman Ajit Pai seeks to repeal the latest regulations on how the internet can be delivered, it seems that not a single person involved in the debate is putting forward a solid argument one way or the other. It is clearly not because they dont know them (theyre not that hard to find), so could it be because they dont want to turn the public to make an informed decision? And why would that be?
Opposition to the repeal is mostly coming from the political left. Figures like Nancy Pelosi, Jessica Rosenworcel and Tulsi Gabbard are essentially making the same argument that a lack of regulation will led to discrimination against the poorest folk. Its an emotional appeal that whilst effective, ignores the basic realities of the situation.

Why shouldn’t monopolistic businesses enjoy unlimited market power? What’s the point of obtaining total market control if you can’t grind your consumers under your boot?
An example of their “neutrality”.
Funny how all laws these days are named as the EXACT OPPOSITE of what they really do.
Let me explain what net neutrality really was. People who work hard buy things like internet speed.People on handouts and who parasite on others were getting the same crappy speed as the working person even though they didn’t pay anything or in some cases much less. It is all about the freedom to separate yourself with a nice car and a big house. Communism doesn’t want that. Net Neutrality was simple communism. This is a monster win for Trump and freedom.

In Depth On The Math: Net Neutrality
Basically, though it sounds good, applied to restaurants it would mean that all restaurants would have to be "All you can eat" for one fixed price.
Google and Facebook love it as Net Neutrality will subsidize their business model. If Google and Facebook are for it, I’m know pretty instinctively that normal people should be against it.
Netflix loves it even more.
“Universal Service Charge”
It’s on just about everyone’s phone / cable bill.
It’s a fee added to your bill, to pay for those who can’t afford, (or more accurately - don’t want to waste their other taxpayer-funded handouts on) the basic human “right” of high speed internet and cable tv.

We have seen stories on how Twitter, Facebook, Google are filtering conservative voices. Apple and others are cooperating with China to prevent the voices of freedom.
Rush had a story today on Net Neutrality and it is just a cover for the liberals to block free free speech.
I don't agree with them doing it, but unless ya are going to argue that they are some type of public utility or such, but they have every right to do how they please. Your using their services. FR has every right to censor and zot anyone who chooses to be on here.
I don’t w3ant to pay for parasites to sit on their butts.
In his speech on Net Neutrality reform today, FCC chairman Ajit Pai called out Twitter, YouTube and other Silicon Valley giants for their long track record of censoring conservative viewpoints.
Pai specifically called out a number of big tech companies, including Twitter, for opposing Net Neutrality reform on the grounds that it threatens a free and open internet, while engaging in widespread censorship on their own platforms.
Are you suggesting FR[twitter, youtube, etc] can’t zot or censor content on their platforms not to their liking?
