You know, I’d love to see this and other similar nonsense leading to the dismantling of the death grip government schools have on our kids and our country.

A law enacted by politicians afraid of getting caught red handed so they criminalize things that might facilitate it.

Did the wrong content get posted with this title? It appears to be something that actually occurred, totally authentic and plausible.

There is no national law against recording conversations, IIRC. A number of States apparently have such laws.

Frankly, speaking to circumstances besides this bullying incident, all conversations with politicians and public officials should be recorded by private citizens. I applaud the Veritas folks, for example.

The satire part is about what the school said. The rest is factual. See http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/11/22/virginia-mom-charged-after-sending-daughter-to-school-with-device-to-record-alleged-bullying.amp.html

Well, the Constitution, which is pointed mainly at the feds, gives no authorization to the feds to meddle in an individual’s private recording.

The states, however, are generally sovereign and generally not bound by the Constitution. But these state laws are unjust and the people of these states should have these laws repealed and remove the politicians who promote such unjust laws.

When since FDR has the federal respected the 10th Amendment?

These days they only need some spurious suggestion of “necessary” and they’re good to go. No need to ever worry about “proper”.

As for the rest, I hear you.

We patriots on the Right MUST be clear about our main political goal: the restoration of our Free Constitutional Republic. Left to themselves, the feds will NEVER respect the 10th Amendment or anything else in the Constitution that doesn’t suit them. But WE are the feds’ boss and the Divine Providence of God Almighty is greater than the $4 trillion feds.

It is time to take down the 80% unconstitutional portion of the $4 trillion federal government which is essential if we are to accomplish the goal of restoring our Free Constitutional Republic.

Trump is the first step.

Have any of these so-called "authorities", whether it be the school administration, the teachers, the police, the PTA, the ACLU, anybody, yet addressed the bullying issue that started this whole mess?

Seems like the woman's concerns about the daughter being taunted by bullies at school are being swept under the rug, or at minimum, being pushed to the back burner.

Because we all know how dangerous a mother can be trying to secretly record her daughter's bullies in the act compared to potential danger to the daughter that the alleged bullies pose themselves.

"Yeah!", the mob screamed, "Forget the bullies. Let's nail the mom!"

I know part of this is satire but it just seems like there is something missing in the actual story that's not being reported....

As much as I LOVE your posts, I suspect that most people here don’t realize that they’re actually factual...but given the “semi-satire” heading they don’t immediately treat them as factual.

Maybe add something like “(true story)” to the title, even though they could pass as satire, as most of us think “that could never happen” as in this case.

The purpose of this law is to prevent citizens from getting the goods on elected officials.

When I read the original news article I was shocked at this because we have seen other secret tapes where teachers are abusing students & it was legal.

I work as a teacher & sadly some teachers allow bullying by turning a blind eye. This 3rd grade boy know I did not allow any bullying, so even though he wasn’t my student he came to me about being bullied on the bus. I complained & complained until the bus director held a meeting w/ the bus driver & the boy’s family. Sad it had to go that far.

I have also found that an email to the person in charge w/ a cc to the superintendent that explains the situation & includes my concern about the district being sued gets immediate action ; )

The satire part is about what the school said.

It's not satire, it's fake news.
