Yes, I pretty much think they’re true, and that’s due to his lawyerly parsing of responses to questions, and his past history on the bench. But it’s not up to me to vote or not vote for him. Those that DO vote for him will have to live with their choice, and they know that. I don’t think he’ll be elected.

40 years ago it was quite a bit different for a West Pointer who immediately went to the Viet era Army and then served 6 years including a tour in Vietnam. He would have been pushing 30 when he got his discharge and entered law school.
I expect we’d discover the same for many who served in a wartime era while they were young.
