The time of day was sunset. The torch walk is actually a children’s event organized by the hotel staff. They do it once a week during the summer. We missed doing it the other years so I was really keen to finally get it done.

I had many great swims.
Stay active.
Takes only a few minutes of active swimming to acclimatize.

If not you will slowly freeze.

Most all the people I seen in the water were swimming or playing.

Those who don’t soon leave the water.

Are you an American who lives in Germany?

I’ve read a number of your posts and comments on the political situation in Germany and found them quite helpful.

Places on Germany's Baltic sandy shoreline are very shallow, and somewhat warm; also dangerous, as the tide comes in too fast to get back to the beach. (!)
