Great show. Went really downhill when Don Knotts had to fulfill his movie contract, but even at its worst, it was still better than many shows that came after.
I caught a rerun of the Jim Nabors Variety Show the other night on one of the retro channels.
Andy Griffith played a bad guy, corrupt evil cop and Don Knotts made an appearance as his even more evil chief.
Pretty funny.
