There was a really good Andy Griffith Show on today. Opie met a kid who got his way by crying, wailing and throwing a tantrum. Opie gave it a try on ol’ Ange, and it didn’t go over too well. Later, when Opie witnessed the kid acting out in front of both the sheriff and the kid’s own dad, Opie realized just how pathetic it was—and so did the kid’s dad. At Andy’s prompting, he finally, literally took the punk out to the woodshed.
the problem is that not enough parents take their kids to the woodshed for discipline anymore- their idea of discipline is to take TV away fro an hour
I know the exact episode you’re talking about. Someone bought me a DVD collection a few years ago with some Andy Griffith episodes on it. That’s one of them. It’s a good one.
LOL my niece, at 2 or 3, would actually bang her head on the floor. My sister totally ignored her. That phase didn’t last long. Niece is ok. Went to Franklin and Marshall plus did a stint of grad work in England.
