As per Twitter’s general Counsel Sean Edgett written testimony to the US Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, the social media giant’s algorithms colluded (pun intended) with Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016 in a big way.
In layman’s terms, Twitter’s systems were tweaked to help Hillary win the election by burying almost half (48 percent) of the tweets that were made under the #DNCLeak hashtag and a quarter of tweets using the #PodestaEmails hashtag.
Basically, Twitter tried to censor/alter the news cycle on its platform by hiding large portions of tweets regarding the hacked-emails-scandal which concerned the Clinton Campaign, the Democratic National Committee and John Podesta himself (the guy who used ‘password’ for his email password), who was Clinton campaign chairman at the time.

They censored ‘trends’ harmful to the harpy.
They shadow banned Trump supporters
They allowed Control the Record bots to roam free
It wasn’t surprising...What was surprising is they didn’t shut it all down for the cause.
