A poll by the CATO Institute has shown that 57% of Americans are afraid (presumably of public reaction) to share their political beliefs. Is this because people have repugnant beliefs, or is it because a climate of fear and recrimination has been fostered by the political classes?
The never-ending stream of hate and blame that is poured out on social media, and the complicit MSM who see a direct correlation between outrage and viewing figures, have jointly created an environment where a majority of people can only feel comfortable speaking openly to a select few close-allies in their lives. And this is not an accidental occurrence, it is fostered, encouraged, and utilized as a way of ensuring that a real majority opinion can never make it to the forefront of politics.

I’m not in the 57
Or maybe it’s nobody’s friggen business.
Tell me your political beliefs and you may or may not ever hear from me again.
Maybe just tired to arguing with brick walls? We know several brick walls and we can get along. They know where we stand, we know where they stand and end up with two brick walls facing each other. We don’t bother to broach the subject anymore and carry on with other things.
You get fired for the least little things that don’t conform to PC.
Unfortunately, sharing one’s political beliefs can lead to a premature departure from this earth. If you want to leave the living, just have some dirt on the Clinton’s and soon you will be pushing up flowers.
Pro-life bumper stickers - Yup
Conservative candidate bumper stickers - Yup

Do the snow-flaky emotionally crippled social misfits actually outnumber the rest of us???
“Wary” does not necessarily mean “afraid”.
Sometimes, one does not have the time to debate an idiot who can’t understand much of anything rational.
Not just PBs!
What If?.................
We have become so conditioned—intentionally and otherwise—by the world around us and all its characters, that we just cheerfully take it all in our stride w/o??? and dismiss it all and proceed to wtf ever appears next!
Many names for this—take our pick and.........
Where I currently work, one of the senior staff tried to get an order from the leadership to take the bumper stickers off of my 11 passenger Ford E350 van. The person felt it was causing people to look at their outfit in an unflattering way because my van was there.
Happily, the leadership realized what a huge mess of H**L would come their way if they acceded to the other persons demands, and did not ask me to do anything.
My van is still here, I am still here, and more bumper stickers have been added. You just have to be willing to be louder than their squeaky wheel.
Maybe 57% are Trump supporters. I could understand that. People are suddenly so filled with complete hatred of our President and anyone who supports him, even family members.
How about sharing what some of those bumper stickers say?
Because liberals are violent bullies.
Liberals are the most stingiest, polluting, unfriendly, greedy, fascist, hate-filled, mean-spirited, envious, resentful, vicious, close-minded, violent, murdering, child-abusing, amoral, stupid, censoring, horse-punching, book-burning, ignorant, uneducated, unskilled, childish, prejudiced, racist, women-hating, man-hating, perverted, thieving, destructive, American-hating, Christian-hating, muslim-loving, Jew-hating, Israel-hating, communist, vote-rigging, vulgar, dirty, smelly, election-rejecting, regressive, restrictive, prohibitive, bed-wetting, poo-flinging, cop-killing, and scared little lying thumb-sucking idiots God has ever created.
I don’t share them at work (I work with the public). I don’t think it’s professional.
The fact that assaulting Trump supporters, stealing their signs, destroying their property is condoned by the left and the media can make one tepid in blue area. I had 2 signs taken out of my yard myself. However, woe to the fool that comes to my front door looking for trouble.
I work at a university, if I want to keep my job-I have to keep quiet
Boy, they didn’t ask me.
If someone is spouting off, I don’t have any hesitation to speak up.
I don’t offer my opinions in an unsolicited fashion, and even then.
For example, if someone invites me into their home and begins a spiel, rather than confront them in their home, I stay quiet, leave when I can, and don’t come back. Particularly with family.
On neutral territory or in my house if someone introduces a subject, I will speak my mind.
Bumper stickers I currently have;
Abortion isn’t a choice, it is a business.
Abortion leaves one dead and one wounded.
Do you follow Jesus this close?
Do You Love Jesus?
Proud American (with Eagle)
Veteran (US Army)
Something about homeschooling, and something about music.
And a few Route 66 and The Ark stickers too.
We have lots of window space around the van.
