The band was Great White, at the Station Nightclub in RI. I live in the area and watched the horror live on the local TV station, who had a crew there covering the event. (I also live-freeped the horror that they were broadcasting on that local channel.)
Since that night, I always know where the kitchen door is in every restaurant/club I enter. All of those people tried to leave through the doors they entered from, and they were stacked like cordwood in those entrance doors. Meanwhile the back doors through the kitchen were wide open.
I don't like crowds either, but I always plot my escape or look for places to shelter in place.

The video of those people stacked up, then burning alive, is gut wrenching, as bad as any ISIS film.
