That is really expensive for a cabin without even a real kitchen-especially since those shipping containers are readily available for as little as $2000.00, and not that difficult to outfit for a lot less than $36K-I’ve researched that for my own purposes. I don’t intend to spend that much on the 1000-1200 sq ft cabin I plan to build soon, partially from materials salvaged from my jobsites, bartered stuff, on sale materials, etc-the contractor I work for is salvaging with me for his cabin, too-we now have all the interior framing materials, windows, solid surface kitchen counters-and even woodstoves to heat two cabins...

Texan5, around the central part of Texas or nearly anywhere in the U.S. you can get a container like you say for around, $2,000.
Thing is this is on the Amazon, not quite the Guadalupe River and getting it there may be the real cost.
Along with GOD only knows what other costs would be associated
