Rep. Frederica Wilson's, D-Fla., public criticism of a recent phone call President Trump made to a Gold Star family member left White House chief of staff Gen. John Kelly "stunned" and "brokenhearted," he said on Thursday.
At the daily press briefing, Kelly defended Trump's call to the grieving family of Sgt. La David Johnson and ripped into Wilson, referring to her twice as an "empty barrel." His remarks, in which Kelly reflected on the loss of his own son in Afghanistan, left the briefing room silent....
