Trump and Sessions are both smart men and I have believed from the beginning that they are on the same wavelength and playing a very long game. Their overly-public “rift” back in the Spring was so exaggerated and overly public that it had to have been contrived, and I sense a similar strategy now afoot with Sessions’s apparent nonchalance about and Rosenstein and McCabe. Trump has a history of giving his enemies enough rope to hang themselves, and he has enjoyed supernatural protection for the past two years. If Sessions is a rat, Trump will fire him. If Sessions and Trump are playing a longer game, we won’t know until their traps have been sprung. My benefit of the doubt is with President Trump.

Trump Attacks Sessions Again, This Time Over the Acting F.B.I. Director
I just can't see President Trump and AG Jeff Sessions missing the program, so to speak. I'm with you hoping they're playing the long game and playing rope a dope. If you think about it, they haven't fired anyone and now Mueller looks like toast along with Rosenstein with the Uranium One debacle and coverup. Comey's situation gets worse by the day. McCabe said he was going to 'get' Trump along with some choice four letter words.
Maybe Trump and Sessions believe they'll all hang themselves as more and more facts come out. Maybe then they'll panic and start singing like a canary to save themselves. I'm hoping this is what's going on.
Plus, as I said long ago, Jeff Sessions must be absolutely overwhelmed with the volume of data at his disposal that's prosecutable. The Clinton Foundation alone is going to take years to unravel - pay to play, kickbacks, bribes, selling national security secrets (?), not saying the overt sale is true, just sayin' we don't really know, potential tax fraud, RICO violations, State Dept. corruption, Huma laptop, the email/server case, 18 Federal laws broken, . . you could go on and on.
All the higher ups in the Obama Administration. . Clapper, Brennan, Podesta, Huma, Rhodes, Jarrett, Lynch, Rice, Panetta, Mills, Power, Comey, Rosenstein, McCabe, Sullivan, Obama himself. . and many others need to be investigated, and maybe they are.
I cut Jeff Sessions more slack than most because of the "so many felonies, so little time" concept. Like I said, he must have just been totally overwhelmed after the first month he was there, given the data he was privy to. It's almost like, "Good Lord, where do I begin? They're all crooked with multiple federal laws broken." Sessions seems to be to be a plodder and ducks in a row type of guy. He must know and feel, with the deep state on his back, that he has to have everything just right to proceed. . "The more evidence the better." He's been trying to digest all this material in the last nine months and do the day to day functions of the AG, which are probably many. Let's see where we're at after a year, on January 20.
