Of course, the nyt will omit the fact that this is yet another sign of the booming Trump economy.
Broadway is a scam.
Especially the $10,000 for a Springsteen ticket later in the article. I wouldn’t leak on him if he was on fire.
She’s still coming down for breakfast?
Who knew!
Tickets for entertainment are totally out of whack, and I think that’s one of the reasons for the revolt against the NFL and entertainment in general, we’ve had enough.
And, according to her bio, she is only 5'1” tall.
Speaking about Springsteen being on fire, here are some actual Springsteen lyrics:
“Hey little girl is your daddy home?
Or did he go and leave you all alone, mmm hmmm.
I gotta bad desire
Whoa whoa whoa I’m on fire.”
Leftwing money laundering? Maybe they learned from Billary
The GREED of the Big Theatre industrial complex is sickening. I suggest federal intervention on ticket prices. No show ticket should cost more than $50.
Any price higher is exploitation of those who love the arts.
Cultural growth and appreciation of music, dance and drama is essential to society, I think we all agree on that. Therefore, why should the wealthy few get to enjoy seeing and experiencing these performances while the poor have to go to the balcony?
So sick of thespian privilege.
I wouldn’t go see Bette Midler IF I WERE PAID $998!
I don’t think it’s a sign of a booming economy when elite Broadway productions are priced way above middle class patrons.
The rich need to prove they are rich, what better way than $1000 tickets to a hit broadway show.
Frankly, I wouldn’t walk across the street for a free ticket to see Bette Midler. She always sings flat and spent her career copying her betters - Sophie Tucker, Patti Page, The Andrews Sisters, etc. She’s a fag hag.
Can I presume you forgot the sarcasm tag?
I wouldn’t pay 2 cents!
If people pay it, then that’s the correct price.
So if YOU owned a theater company you’d charge only $50 out of the goodness of your heart even though you could get 20x that (for the good seats)? Iow, you’d deliberately cut your profit by a significant margin in the name of “fairness?”
“thespian privilege.”
Outstanding!
Better Midler hates Trump. I live 70 miles from NYC & used to see shows in NYC sometimes. No more, except for the Christmas Pageant at Radio City Music Hall.
