[ If she is convicted, I hope her sentence ]
I would prefer that she serve slop in the gray-bar hotel. There’s some social justice.

If she took the Hat off his person, it’s Assault.
Taking the Hat is Theft.
Inciting others to commit Assault and Theft is Conspiracy.

especially for a first time, non-violent offenderSorry, but snatching the hat from him was assault; touching him was a battery; taking the hat was theft; and making threats and inciting to violence is a felony. This is not a "non-violent offender." Granted she didn't bash his head in with a spiked club like other fascist thugs have done, but these are still crimes. Lock her up.

She still shows no remorse for what she has done You should show remorse for this blog.
To: grundle
That sounds like assault to me.
It’s not about the hat. It is about going up to a person and physically touching them. Never okay.
Sorry if this post makes no sense; working on a new laptop and running on five days of insomnia.
To: Kickass Conservative
Stealing a hat is a misdemeanor unless it is worth over -it varies in states - $100, $500, $1,000, etc.
The “incitement” charge could be a felony.
Assault - simple assault and battery (illegal touching) - a spanking

Actually, taking property off a person using force or fear is robbery.

Macias takes the hat to campus authorities, under the belief that they will take her side. But they dont. Instead, they take the side of the hat owner, get him his hat back, and call the campus police. Actually the fact that the authorities took the side of the hat owner over the snowflake is the most surprising thing in this story.
Everything else is business as usual in California.
What can I say? I am pleasantly surprised at the actions of the unnamed authorities. I wish I knew who they were so I could send them an attaboy.
