I met a guy who was the most liberal guy I’ve ever met in person: the car full of bumper stickers, the leftist t-shirts (he was able to keep his job at a bookstore in spite of wearing a “Prick Perry” shirt to work). One day, he disappeared and I was told he was in Japan opposing whaling ships. Later, I was told he and his girlfriend had moved to Seattle to live in a commune (they couldn’t hack it and were back shortly).

Thing is, one-on-one, he was a really nice guy. And I frickin’ hate liberals. Of course, I never talked politics with him and he never knew I was conservative. I’m sure things would have changed quick if he had.

Most recently, I’ve heard he’s making six figures as a car company exec. Yay communism?

There is only one liberal I associate with. She’s my 80 year old neighbor. She’s a looney lib but we have agreed to never ever talk politics. She tried once and I said....Audrey we agreed to not talk politics and you really don’t want to hear my answer. She apologized and hasn’t tried since.
If she wasn’t 80 it might be different but she kind of relies on me for certain things so totally keeps her politics to herself around me.

If he were a conservative and you a liberal, you’d probably rat him out to his company for everything he ever did and everything you could make up.
