What’s so difficult about cooking? Wake up, throw carrots, onions, celery, potatoes and cut up chicken or beef into the crock pot. Add some wine and beef or chicken stock. Salt and pepper. Let it go for 10 hours on low.

Come home, microwave two servings of rice, spoon mixture over it. It cannot be more simple than that. I know, what’s a crock pot?

Cooking ain’t rocket science even if French chefs would like you to think that it is.

OTOH, any wife will tell you that the same dish cooked & served to the same standard tastes much better with a restaurant wrapped around it.

Even easier - T-bone steak, seared on both sides in a cast-iron pan on the stove top with a little salt, pepper, oil and garlic. Take it off while still rare.

Steam some asparagus in another pan if vegetables are required. Add butter and garlic.
