There is a team in Illinois where the coach encouraged all of the 8 year old and younger to not stand when the National Anthem was played and the Flag shown was without stars.

I wonder if they considered visiting a VA hospital first and telling the veterans they were going to do that...

People who encourage 8 year old and younger kids to kneel for the playing of the National Anthem and disrespect the flag in the process would not even consider visiting a VA or Military Hospital under any circumstance.
