I'm not a sports fan but certainly not unaware of football. The NFL has been a huge money making machine in America for decades. It employs hundreds of thousands of people from the players to coaches, manufacturers of sports equipment, food vendors, TV advertising ,etc. It the owners of these teams have any brains they'll put a stop to this bs or lose everything they've worked for and profited from for over sixty years.

The only professional football game I ever attended was the Superbowl where the undefeated Miami Dolphins beat the Washington Redskins. I believe I was 12 at the time.
