It Was Cleverly Repackaged for the Historically Impaired and Useful IdiotsAnd not only Communism:
“When Fascism comes to America, it will call itself anti-Fascism. My own belief, more than once set afloat from this spot, is that it will take us, soon or late, into the stormy waters of Fascism. To be sure, that Fascism is not likely to be identical with the kinds on tap in Germany, Italy and Russia; indeed, it is very apt to come in under the name of anti-Fascism.”

Mencken (1938) That quote has been saved as one of my most valuable, prescient and useful, for future reference.
Sadly, the people most in need of grasping the irony are immune to its comprehension.

There is no substantive difference between the various branch “isms” that derive from the poisoned Marxist tree. The difference is only one of degree of brutality and state control. So communism, fascism, and socialism are really different shadings of totalitarian state oppression.
