I was raised Christian and remain so, but I also remember a verse about who no one knows when He will return.
I knew an engineer on the Trident Missile Program who claimed to know exactly when the end of the world would be and showed me on the white board in his office how it would be sometime in 2001.
He will come again. In his own blessed time. We should worry more about living as He would have us live, instead of worrying about exactly when He will come.
‘He will come again. In his own blessed time. We should worry more about living as He would have us live, instead of worrying about exactly when He will come.’
Well said.

There’s no reason one can’t live that way wile also looking for His return- if possible- Some seem to think it’s an either or situation- not so- infact- looking into the issue actually motivates folks to spread the word- as there becomes a possible urgency- folks see a world sliding into immorality, sinfulness and satanic control- and see that the time —may be drawing close— They see biblical signs such as Israel becoming a nation in 1948- They see God’s word being preached in all the world (with the help of electronic means), preparations for the rebuilding of the temple again- training of Levitical priests taking place now- The year of jubilee culminating around a possible heavenly sign spoken of in rev- etc etc etc- and a sense of urgency happens and motivates some to get His word out as the time —may be short—
Just talking about the issue in forums exposes people to His word that may otherwise not have- The spirit listeth where He will-
It’s just not an ‘either or’ situation- There’s no reason one can’t live for the Lord, and also look for His return in anticipation
