I have been researching recently trying to find updates on the demise of Human Trafficking researcher -the bold and courageous, Monica Peterson. I will be listing some of the most important links and articles I have found. Unfortunately, I cannot find anything on an autopsy. It was reported shortly after Monica died in Haiti that she committed suicide. However, no one really believes that, including her family. Some claimed the reason she committed suicide was due to the flawed relationship she had with her boyfriend in Haiti.
However, I do not believe that for a minute, as this young woman was bound and determined to change the world. I doubt she would let a boyfriend stand in her way.
Here is some of the information I found. People do care about Monica, and they want to know what really happened to her.
Monica Petersen was in Haiti working for the Human Trafficking Center, and also worked previously for the Colorado Human Trafficking Councils Data & Research Task Force.
