Readers of this story have the luxury of not having a pint of adrenaline suddenly injected in their bodies in a grizzly charge. The brain and body do funny things in those moments.
How much time do you have to react to a 30 yard grizzly charge? Maybe two or three seconds before he's on top of you. And he is REALLY pi$$ed because he doesn't like pepper on his meals. Pretty hard to think under those circumstances and not something you can really practice for.
