The Carrington event happened after the Maunder Minimum.
I think they were connected in some fashion.
But, I’m not sure how to prove it as I’m not in any way a sci type.

Here is a good video (7.31 minutes) explaining why this was a kill shot. For reference, the Carrington Event was thought to have been a X48 CME.
