“I know what..!! We’ll bring them in by making the theaters MORE LIKE HOME..!”

So there it is, what THEY KNOW is the future:

Home viewing of movies.

Or more precisely:

Home viewing of NON-movies, or at least movies made by individuals or much smaller companies, featuring values that the VIEWERS SHARE.

Hollywood hates us, diverse theater patrons speak through the movie in ordinary conversational volume, and the movie start times are LIES: 22 minutes of your time is hijacked for marketing EVERY time.

Just stay home, away from the America Haters.

I think you're on to something.

News production has been democratized, so may movie production. It's already started on a smaller scale through tiny YouTube productions and even series. If tiny independents can attain (at least close to) professional production values, the sky's the limit.

You could have summed it up with your one bingo sentence. Hollywood hates us. Why support them much?

(Though I find myself in some kid movie a few times a year.)
