We have a systemic problem of incompetency in the US Navy. There have actually been four unanswered operation failures, collisions and needless deaths directly on the shoulders of commanders to the point they should be court marshaled. I cannot understand why unless we are putting too much energy in integrating women and homosexuals into critical combat positions for PC reasons and basic sailing has gone to hell.
My son intended to make a career out of the Navy when he joined in 2005. He quit in disgust four years later.

I was in the Navy and met a wonderful group of amazing, competent people; sailors and Marines who are the “salt of our Nation”! This is a leadership problem based in the cancer of liberalism which needs to be exorcised.
I wonder if the author has been reading FR? It's simple. There's only so much training time. If an hour is taken up by diversity training and toleration drills for sexual deviates then it's an hour lost to ship-handling. It's a zero-sum game. COs' careers used to live and die by grades at REFTRA. Now it's grades in Advanced Social Theory. In the civilian world misplaced priorities such as this result in falling profit margins and employee turnover. In Naval operations they kill people, and they have killed people, and the people responsible are not being held responsible. The social engineers ought to hang, and they'll walk because they're now in charge.
