I started the 2017 Pick’em fantasy football team.

Been going on for about a dozen years.
The Pick’em league is simple - just pick the team each week who will win, and assign a point value to the win.
At the end of the year we all toast the winner, and send a donation to JimRob.
FReepmail me if you want to join, and I'll send you the password.
There is no cost and this is a low pressure league. Blow a week completely? It gets dropped.
We do ask that everyone make a donation to Free Republic during the season.
This is a fun, light hearted league, and we especially value those who can pun a quip, or quip a funny pun.

The college game is so much more exciting to watch as the players give 100% vs. NFL where they play politics that distract from the allure of several hours respite from the problems of the world.

I don’t care what others watch or do with their free time but I’m with you re the NFL. Its become a politically tainted spectacle that is saturated with commercials. Not worth watching IMO.

I was once very much into football, but never again.
That is certainly why I stopped watching the NFL at the beginning of last season. Watching was like getting a three-hour transfusion from a person HIV-positive. No thanks.
My regret is that I can not honestly threatened to stop watching. I have lost that small leverage.
Still, I feel good about it. I think my earlier decision to stop buying at Sears and J.C. Penny is probably going to put both out of business :)
So you promote the most leftist organizations in America: colleges and universities and television networks. Watching college football on ESPN ensures that the network stays on insulting American values forever. College players are only playing hard enough to get to the NFL.
Everybody needs an outlet. It’s way past time that I can ignore their liberal crap. No judgments, enjoy.
There is truth in what you say but I hope you’ll forgive me for taking more pleasure as a single viewer than I promote ESPN and their liberal agenda. Many of the games are on other networks but I suppose they too finance the left. If you have time please instruct me in how not to enrich the left as you live your life. Do you meditate all day?
No, I just find other things to do on Saturday. You must have other interests other than college football, family, friends, other competitive activities, etc.. I’m sorry but I’m going on a crusade this year to help ESPN and other networks lose ratings. If for example if every conservative in the South would cut 1/2 to 2/3 of their football viewership the ratings drop would send a huge wake up call to quit insulting our values. They would not be able to lie about their viewership anymore. They depend on their college football viewership ratings, the NFL is dropping , if CFB drops too, less money for them.
