Steve Bannon: “The Economic War With China Is Everything”
Hidden Americans ^ | 08/16/2017 | Richard Saunders

Posted on 08/16/2017 4:16:36 PM PDT by nodwam

On Tuesday Steve Bannon called up a leftist writer, Robert Kuttner, and gave some insight into his thinking and current battles in the White House. Bannon doubled down on the America First agenda and said that the economic war with China would be the defining battle on who will be the hegemonic power in 20-30 years.

Bannon conceded that every day is a battle within the White House to push Trump's agenda forward and Bannon called ethno-nationalism 'losers' 'fringe' 'clowns' and that the White House has 'gotta help crush it.'

You can read the full story here and the highlights from the phone call below.

On China:

“We’re at economic war with China,” he added. “It’s in all their literature. They’re not shy about saying what they’re doing. One of us is going to be a hegemon in 25 or 30 years and it’s gonna be them if we go down this path. On Korea, they’re just tapping us along. It’s just a sideshow.”

“To me,” Bannon said, “the economic war with China is everything. And we have to be maniacally focused on that. If we continue to lose it, we're five years away, I think, ten years at the most, of hitting an inflection point from which we'll never be able to recover.”

“We’re going to run the tables on these guys. We’ve come to the conclusion that they’re in an economic war and they’re crushing us.”

But what about his internal adversaries:

    “Oh, they’re wetting themselves.”

“I’m changing out people at East Asian Defense; I’m getting hawks in. I’m getting Susan Thornton [acting head of East Asian and Pacific Affairs] out at State.”

That’s a fight I fight every day here,” he said. “We’re still fighting. There’s Treasury and [National Economic Council chair] Gary Cohn and Goldman Sachs lobbying.”

“We gotta do this. The president’s default position is to do it, but the apparatus is going crazy. Don’t get me wrong. It’s like, every day.”

On White Nationalist:

“Ethno-nationalism—it's losers. It's a fringe element. I think the media plays it up too much, and we gotta help crush it, you know, uh, help crush it more.”

“These guys are a collection of clowns.”

“The Democrats,” he said, “the longer they talk about identity politics, I got ’em. I want them to talk about racism every day. If the left is focused on race and identity, and we go with economic nationalism, we can crush the Democrats.”

Nails it.

We fight and win this one now, or all the broohahah over statues, budgets, immigration and flags means nothing in 50 years.
We can still win an economic war with China. Now. Not in 10 years at their rate of growth.

The Left is ‘ ‘ close to provoking Americans into boycott mode. Once they push us there, their earth will quake them down into the hell they’ve spent their lives investing in.

we must not overlook the military threats to America, too (Iran, NKorea, the various Muslim Arab terrorist murder gangs like ISIS, Al quaida, PLO/pa, Hamas, Hezbellah, Muslim Brotherhood).......and yes, Communist China too

the problem is partly economic with China, but partly military too .....

and the Moslem terrorist groups could attack us again ... including now from within our very own communities, ...any time ..... without any notice....and they could maybe sneak in seriously destructive weapons into USA, too

Hmmmm. Although I agree with Bannon and I appreciate the fact that he is fighting the good fight, I question the timing of this interview.

It will feed the White House in Chaos and Bannon out of control narratives, both emportant elements of the Dem/MSM battle plan.

That and the pressure on Trump to (foolishly) fire Bannon.

Job creation and innovation typically happen in small business, not in the behemoths that were represented in the now-quickly-defunct council. I don’t think we’ve lost much there, really.

Good riddance to all of them. Let’s hope Trump fired everybody at the Patent Office.

Don’t get some of my software friends started on the ridiculousness of software patents. They’d be good with that.

There are no “white nationalist” groups holding rallies. They are really George Soros’ paid agent provocateurs.

The Libs (Obama included) are pushing CEO’s to break with Trump. Now are the Libs doing this at the backing of the Chinese where these CEO’s procure product? Indirectly the actions of the Libs benefit China. So the actions of the Libs could be construed to be treason (adhering to its enemies by giving them aid and comfort).
