I agree with you completely.
I was referring to others who constantly show that map and saying all the tariffs were paid by northerners.
The guy who created it doesn't even realize it's significance. He thought it proved that the North was paying all the taxes. I have found that map quite useful in demonstrating the degree to which the financial interests of the North and Washington were highly dependent on the South's exports. When seen in the correct light, it makes it clear that Washington and New York had a strong financial interest in keeping the South under the economic control of Washington and New York.
