Not a mad man, but a very angry and frustrated man. I took a peek at his blog. It seems his brother was struck by a hit-and-run driver. The driver was an off-duty cop. The only folks who would listen, and try to help his brother get justice, were the local “liberals”.

That doesn't mean you have to sell your soul to them, or be beholden to them. If they were elected officials, and helped him, they did their job without prejudice. Bully for them. How many other libs, or even so-called Republicans have done the exact opposite?

Yes. If the basics of what he wrote are accurate, his brother was treated horribly by the police. Usually in a thread where we are reading about a Justine Damond or Philando Castile, someone posts something along the lines of "that could happen to any of us".

Well, to this man it did. I don't know that I'd handle it with calm logic and flag-waving good humor either.

Yes, I read the whole thing, hence why I called it a "rambling screed."

Is it really worth the effort pointing out all his blog entry's flaws? It's no different than Cindy Sheehan campaigning against the Iraq War because her son was killed, or the Sandy Hook parents against gun control, except without the emotional devastation to bring it about (id est, his brother wasn't killed.)

I can understand that, but he says the accident happened “last week”. How does getting the city to pay out and getting the police officer all happen within a week? I have NEVER heard of all that happening in a week. Something is wrong with the timeline/story here, IMO.
