I was 10 years old in ‘45 when Americans came home from WWII.........Marines called themselves ex-marines back then; and, books, newspapers, movies all used the term ex-Marine...it was a kind of badge/honor on those who had served in the Corps!

List as of 2 weeks ago of International volunteers that went to fight with the Kurds and were killed in the battle against ISIS; heck, this Robert Grodt (look up that name) was even involved as being a medic for Occupy Wallstreet, I don’t sympathize with this cause, he was an Army vet I think but in this case, he had a valid cause. I may not agree with all that that Kurd militia stands for. Still, that doesn’t diminish their great sacrifice against evil.
