A Christian gives testimony as to his faith. Disney swapped Judeo Christianity for sentimental Americana.
While sentimental Americana is really nice, it is not Christianity.
It is complete apostasy to swear oaths of secrecy to anyone or anything other than the Lord Jesus Christ, as He is no respecter of persons.
Agreeing that Allah is the same as the God of the Bible is also a denial of Christ and whomever believes this is no Christian. (Like George W. Bush’s infamous declaration on this topic proves what actual believers in Christ already knew: W is no Christian.)
Finney reveals his personal moral problems with masonry here: http://www.isaiah54.org/finney.htm
I believe the anti-Masonic Party, of which President John Q Adams was a founding member, began with the September 11, 1826 murder of a mason who became a Christian, and decided it was his spiritual and moral duty to write a book about the Masons.
He was murdered. The Anti Mason party formed after this outrage, and it became the Whigs, which became the GOP with Lincoln.
[sarcasm]How dare you say that on Free Republic! Don't you know that traditional America is the new special, chosen, holy nation, the Founding Fathers were all G-dly prophets, and the Biblical Joshua was no better than (lehavdil!) a moslem because he didn't recognize the Canaanites' "freedom of religion???"[/sarcasm]
In case you don't get it (some people don't), I'm agreeing with you. It's nice to meet someone else who doesn't believe the ideology of the American Founding came Straight From Heaven (though we have different religious beliefs).
I want to thank you for that valuable link. The information is a relevation to anyone whose ancestors or living relatives may have been involved in the Masons or any other cult, no matter how respectable it may have seemed at the time.
Several of our Founders were reputed to have been Freemasons. It's hard to believe, given their writings in testimony of faith in Jesus.
And I do remember a few christian themed cartoons he did. A couple of the Silly Symphonies had some. there was one about Noahs Ark, another one about blacks going to church which was made part of the censored 11 and a stop motion cartoon about Noah and the ark.
