I was already unsympathetic to the essay when he used the phrase “nasty meme” in the first sentence and then claimed this wasn’t free speech.
Actually, the First Amendment was specifically designed to protect “nasty” speech, because anything against the king was probably pretty rough and would not be too delicate for elitist ears.
And the gif was not really nasty. I barely scrape the surface of the dark net and there are some really “NASTY” memes out there. This one was pretty tame and actually funny.
Reading that piece was a waste of time.
“Nasty nasty nasty” is a Senator Liz Warren theme—Frank Zappa. Only 68 and she knows how to nasty. Frank had much to say about freedom of speech. Benjamin Franklin wrote anonymous letters in his paper.
Every liberal is a violent totalitarian thug.
CNN doesn't have people smart enough to track down this Reddit user. It does have people evil enough to be willing to take personal info illegally offered by Reddit which identified the poster.
You are not a martyr if you refuse to protect yourself, you are a fool. Enjoy.
CNN and the like want to Name, Names. Why? To let others dish out their social justice. Dang Communists.
The creator of the vid did not intend it necessarily as a political statement. The kid is obviously not a liberal, though, which is the lack that makes him deserving of public pillorying and exposure to physical harm. He cannot be a liberal because he has a sense of humor which is something liberals do not and cannot allow themselves to understand. Communism(and its veiled forms-liberalism and progressivism) and Islam do not allow for any form of actual humor because humor is a vehicle of of opposition to the total embrace of a totalitarian ideology. It demonstrates that a mind is not totally subsumed in the ideological cement and that incomplete subjugation cannot be tolerated.
