LOS ANGELES -- Protesters gathered Sunday in cities across the U.S. calling for the impeachment of President Trump.
Thousands gathered Sunday in downtown Los Angeles as protesters marched from Pershing Square to Fletcher-Bowron Square in an effort to urge Congress to impeach the president, CBS Los Angeles reports.
The march was one of 45 sister marches in cities across the nation including New Orleans, Seattle, Philadelphia and New York City.
In Manhattan, protesters chanted outside Trump International Hotel and Tower at Columbus Circle and Central Park West, CBS New York reports.
"I think Donald Trump is the least competent person who has ever held the Oval Office," one marcher told the station.
A social worker from Queens who took part said she does not expect impeachment to happen overnight. But she said the protest was a start.
"It's a process, so I absolutely believe that the process should take forth, and then whatever the results of that, you know, will be determined," she said.....

Well, at least the Democrats are finally being honest about being the anti-democracy party. They have zero compunction about trying to overturn elections they don’t like. Why not? Leftists have shown over and over and over their extreme and arrogant contempt for regular, everyday American voters and their concerns. They see themselves as the only ones with acceptable opinions and thus they should be in total control. The people who disagree with them should have no say and their votes should be ignored.
These are the same sorts of hard-leftists responsible for Zimbabwe style “elections” in many of third-world and developing nations. Elections are great—so long as only their side (or controlled opposition who pose no real threat) can win. These people (many of whom also fight aggressively against free speech for conservatives) are a serious threat to our basic freedoms and to the survival of this nation in any recognizable form.

The Democrat Party is currently the party of the elites—and the people they want dependent on welfare programs so they’re easier to control. The Democrat statists are all about control and elimination of individual freedoms and independence. There are still some GOPe fools standing in our way, but we have already largely welcomed the law-abiding, pro-American working-class over to our corner.
The left only pretends to be for the workers with their old-fashioned Marxist rhetoric, but they are actually very contemptuous of regular Americans, especially in fly-over country or outside the big cities, regardless of whether they are working class or not.
