They can if they want. Remove all MSM from press conferences and let in people with blogs to report. When the media goes nuts, tell them citizen journalists are more fair and better represent the American people in providing oversight. The MSM no longer provides oversight but are active participants.
But he wins anyway. They can’t put salt on his tail.
There are alternative media outlets (not talking about FNC), and they are gaining ground because of the MSM’s blatant mendacity. And the public is becoming less gullible. Heard from my son in the States that Orwell’s 1984 is now a best-seller once again. Television is a 20th Century relic. The Internet is the new frontier, and we don’t need to dominate it, just keep the obsolete MSM from dominating it.
So tell the MSM to stop putting out fake news.
And fake news not only interferes with the decisions people make when going to vote and in their beliefs on different issues which get a lot of political attention, but in all aspects of our lives. All the propaganda and holding back information creates fake pictures of the world.
The media that falsely claims to be news should have one representative of each party chosen by that party in government to be there to state their side to the stories and bring up info the public is prevented from hearing through censorship.
True, but the bias of the Establishment and Media (but I repeat myself) has never been worse.
The transparency of the Media's bias—and the maliciousness of their propaganda—is now apparent to any thinking American.
For two solid years, the Swamp has been trying to destroy Donald J. Trump: to prevent him from getting the GOP nomination, to prevent him from beating Hillary, to prevent him assuming office, and, now, an overt coup attempt from the Deep State Swamp scum.
As President Trump said back during the campaign: "these people will stop at nothing" in their unhinged efforts to destroy him—and the Revolution for which he has become the standard-bearer. The Enemy's goal is nothing less than the subversion of the Constitution under which President Trump was duly elected, and the destruction of the Republic which it established.
These traitorous Uniparty Swamp scum did everything humanly possible to install Hillary Clinton as their Corrupt, Totalitarian Globalist Queen—and they almost succeeded.
Indeed, it was likely due only to Providence—and the good faith of millions of American voters in their choice of a worthy leader—that the People miraculously prevailed over this demonic Enemy—against seemingly insurmountable odds.
And it is because of Providence that I believe the Enemy will not prevail against this President or the People—unless we lose our faith and fail to persevere.
May God bless this Revolution, this Republic, this President, and We the People. Through His Grace, and in service of this righteous Cause, I Trust that no weapon formed against the People shall prevail. Amen.
With a majority in both houses, and now a majority on SCOTUS. Media doesn’t need to be fair. Competition will get the truth out. What’s Ryan want to do, anyway? Have a state-run media? What’ll they call it, Pravda?
Alexander Hamilton managed to destroy the political aspirations of Aaron Burr in the New York Post. He lost the duel, but Burr lost the election thanks to a lot of invective and venom in the media. Bias is nothing new.
True. They’ll stop at nothing. And the bottom line is, the lower they sink, the more they hoist themselves on their own petarh. They can’t even condemn a crazed gunman, because they’re so hot to change the subject to gun control that they come across as partisan, small-minded and nasty. But they did as much at the Wellstone “funeral”. Best example is Nancy Pelosi calling the Republicans “sanctimonious” because she keeps getting crank calls on her home phone, and doesn’t have the sense to change her number regularly and keep it unlisted. To hear her, it’s Trump personally making those calls, or encouraging others to do it. They can’t get over themselves, and that will always be their undoing.
News stopped being news, when journalists became propagandists and stating facts became editorializing. There is fake news (lies and half-truths passed as fact), but now the Left has stolen the term and defines fake news as anything that disagrees with their Marxist, pro-Islamic, anti-democratic narrative.
If Hillary had won the election, there would be zero Congressional hearings about Russia. The January 6 ODNI report would not have been produced.
Maybe Walter Duranty’s Pulitzer Prize could finally be revoked. That would be a step in the right direction concerning the issue of “fake” news.
