It’s completely accurate. First, we have only seen a handful of actual hurricanes make landfall since Katrina and Rita in 2005. Second, despite all the news media hysterics that accompany the smallest tropical depression these days, the few that have made landfall were no larger than Cat 1 storms when they did. Even Ike, which my family and I rode out in Houston, was a Cat 1 when it made landfall. Al Gore, in the wake of Katrina, trumpeted his prediction (supported by most “climate scientists”) that “climate change” would bring a large increase in the frequency and intensity of cyclonic activity in the Atlantic Basin. In fact, exactly the opposite has happened - the last 12 years are among the most docile in recorded history.
