Given the Comey -Mueller relationship, the DOJ or White House simply needs to dump enough evidence that makes Comey a potential target of the investigation to force Mueller to withdraw as independent council.
This also forces Mueller's hand with disclosures of any immunity deal.
There is no way Mueller can ethically perform as independent council if Comey is a potential target.
Great point. I don’t understand how teams of “high profile lawyers” can’t figure this out. Charge Comey today. Mueller will be gone by 4PM. Very simple.
