I fault the coach on this. He should have waited for the anthem to end, and then walked off the field. Game over. And all the money that was paid for the game would have to be refunded or held for another game. But it would not be used to entertain for this game.
Also, the US Olympic committee should file a protest with the IOC in Switzerland, and the US government should follow with a stern warning that the US will pull out of future Olympic events of this nature and will not allow the US media to cover their events spending multi millions to get it. Funny that on FreeRepublic there are posters who make fun of soccer and American soccer fans. You won’t find fans in any sport more loyal and patriotic than those that support USMT. Sam’s Army and the Outlaws after them are rabid supporters of USA and if there are ANY of these guys that can stand the Mexican team or their sorry fans, I certainly haven’t met them.
