It is bizarre. White people, on average, do everything in their power to avoid black people in all aspects of their lives, and statistically speaking, it’s a wise thing to do. But on Sundays, white people guzzle beer and watch football for 14 hours, which is dominated by anti-American blacks. It’s strange.
The answer to that could a Nobel Prize.
'Cause it's a fun game to watch, at least when teams are competitive. And it's more fun to play. I'll be stepping on the court at seven tonight for some rec ball, trying to keep those 40 and 50 year old kids from killin' me!
I don’t know whites who follow basketball (though it was started to spread among young whites when I was younger); my black co-workers, from years of experience, no longer ask me if I “saw the game”. It seems the young people I see today are more interested in soccer; definitely related to demographic shifts. The Latinos trafficked into my town are a bit short for basketball.
