I like to think folks were praying that God’s will be done in the election. I think it was.
God has always blessed the USA. His blessings continue with President Trump. We didn’t “dodge the bullet with Killary. God chose to bless us with Trump. And for that I thank Him everyday.

True. So I prayed, “If it’s Your will, please spare us from a Hillary Clinton presidency.”
I do take to heart James 4:2 about “...ye have not because ye ask not.” So I’m never bashful about asking — in His will.
Then comes James 4:3, “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss...” So I ask, and if I “receive not”, I believe that God has decided I’ve asked amiss and has over-ruled me. That’s just fine.
